Once the owner of a powerhouse sports/fitness facility and a sought after youth player development/NBA trainer, Omar Wellington is no stranger to the basketball business. Having played Division 1 basketball and trained thousands of players, from amateur to professional, he noticed a few persistent truths - people love to connect, people love to compete, but most of all, people love to SHOOT. Kids love shooting, adults love shooting; girls love to shoot, guys love to shoot; parents love to watch their kids shoot; siblings love to shoot against each other, and so on! Think about it - It’s an inherent truth. Not only that, Omar noticed that some of the best shooting battles he’s witnessed were not determined by gender, strength, or even skill, but by mental toughness and the will to win. This meant that a female high school shooting guard could dominate a male college forward in a shooting competition - what a show! But the beauty of shooting doesn’t stop there. Turns out, under the right circumstances, shooting can also be a fun way to workout and an awesome opportunity to connect with great people. With all this in mind, Omar had seen enough. He knew that shooting for sport would be the next best invention.

OUR VISION
Shootouts can and do have the potential to bring together unique groups of people that are unlikely to be found anywhere else – and we intend to make as many of those experiences as possible. Due to versatility of the set-up, ShotClub can bring Shootouts anywhere in the world, as long as a 50×50 half court is available. From scenic outdoor locations, to neighborhood parks and local indoor gyms, Shootouts are destined to become a pillar of communities throughout the world. In addition, we are prepared to offer a variety of ShotClub services, including professional teams/leagues, tournaments, and events that will be available at fairs, parties, fundraisers, and more. Bigger than the wave of Pickleball, we are ready to sweep the globe with the best new sport and fitness experience!
