In a Thanksgiving Day Shootout that showcased determination and skill, Team Edore, Rume, and Ozie emerged victorious with a 45-33 win, bolstered by commendable individual performances:

• Edore Pela led the charge with a robust field goal percentage (FG%) of 41.7 and a Shooter Rating (SR) of 62.2, underscoring her significant contribution to the team’s win.
• Rume Azikiwe displayed a solid performance, posting a 34.4 FG% and an impressive SR of 46.9, contributing crucially to the team’s success on this festive occasion.
• Ozie Pela rounded out the winning team’s effort with a commendable 41.0 FG% and the highest SR of the match at 65.0, reflecting a pivotal role in securing the victory.

The opposing team gave it their all:

• Abi Oyeyemi fought hard with a 33.1 FG% and an SR of 39.1, reflecting a relentless pursuit despite the challenging game.
• Egbavwe Pela provided good effort with a 30.6 FG% and made 40% with the money-ball, demonstrating his willingness to contribute under pressure
• Jameel Nichols Jr. shot 19.6 FG% in his debut shootout, showing promise from the arc with a 23.2% three-point percentage.
• Jonathan Perez worked to make an impact with a 25.2 FG% debut, showing promise for future matchups.

Shooter Rating is calculated by adding: the shooter’s field goal percentage, 5 points for a win, 1 point per Bonus Round Make, 2 points per Money-ball Make, 3 points per Game Changer Make, 1/2 a point per Game Winner, and 0/2/4/6 points for playing in an outside shootout (point addition varies per weather/wind conditions).
